You can cancel the Servermall Cloud Services (SMCS) virtual machine service at any time if you no longer need it. Cancelling the service helps you avoid charges for subsequent billing periods.
The procedure for cancelling the SMCS virtual machine (VM) service is described below.
Prerequisites
To cancel the service, the following conditions must be met:
- You must have the “Virtual Machine” service from SMCS.
- You must sign in to your SMCS account and go to the service control panel. If required, use the following sign-in instructions:
- if 2FA is not enabled – “Signing in to the Control Panel“;
- if 2FA is enabled – “2FA Signing in to the Control Panel“.
Cancelling the “Virtual Machine” Service
To cancel the VM service, follow these steps:
- Go to the “Services” tab and, in the row with the virtual machine that you want to cancel, click “Cancel service” – the button with a red cross icon.
The cancellation confirmation window opens. - Optional: in the “Brief cancellation reason” field, specify the reason why you do not want to continue using the virtual machine. Your feedback will help us improve service quality.
- In the “Cancellation type” list, select when the service must be cancelled:
- “Immediate” – the service will be cancelled immediately, as soon as cancellation is confirmed.
- “End of Billing Period” – the service will be cancelled at the end of the trial period.
- In the “Enter the service ID” field, enter the ID of the service that you want to cancel.
- Click the “Confirm” button to confirm cancellation of the service.
The cancellation request will be recorded in our accounting and billing system. If cancellation is completed before the end of the current billing period, you will not be charged for the next billing period.
Important: If you accidentally cancelled the service for a virtual machine that you need, create a support ticket immediately. In some cases, this may help prevent the VM from being permanently deleted.
